A ceremony was held in New Amsterdam yesterday in remembrance of those who fought and died in the two world wars.
Last week,the Ministry of Education presented the logical framework of the Education Strategic Plan to head teachers in Region 6.
Last Saturday evening Miss Tiffany Edwards of Fyrish Village was crowned Miss Region 6 when the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sport Club held its Annual Miss Region 6 Pageant at the Lower Corentyne Secondary School. Miss Edwards also won the congenialty Prize from a field of 8 delegates. Shaneeza James occupied the 1st runner up position and also won the best smile while the 2nd runner position went to Somattie Jewan and the 3rd runner up to Miss Persaud.The best gown prize went to Miss Nicole Hector.
Earlier today five East Canje schools received donations from a Trinidadian Sports Promoter.
The acting Head Teacher of Skeldon Line Path Secondary School who is a regular marker of English B papers at the CSEC says that the examination is biased against Guyanese.
The Minister of Culture,Youth & Sport says that additional programmes for young people will be implemented at the Smythfield Drop In Centre.
