Yesterday,Achievers of Canefield won the softball cricket competition organised by the East Canje Humanitarian Society.

The Fifth Annual Ride for Life Cycle Road race organised by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Culture,Youth and Sport in collaboration with the Guyana Cycling Federation concluded yesterday with the final stage from Linden to Georgetown.

The five stage race was done over 4 days and saw cyclist covering a total distance of 166 miles. The overall winner was Michal Lawrence from California in time of 10 hrs.30 mins 9 secs. Jonathan Teether finished second,Jamal Eastman of Barbados third,Robin Persaud 4th and Godfrey Pollydore fifth.
